McKenzies Auctioneers final auction for 2017 is nothing short of spectacular and features pieces by well-known Australian and local artists, as well as over 100 modern, vintage and antique pieces of jewellery, including a rare offering of high end items that don't normally appear in WA.

The auction represents an incredible opportunity for Christmas shoppers to purchase luxury items at a fraction of their cost. Jewellery in particular is extremely popular at this time of year and this final auction is perhaps one of the best offerings from McKenzies.

The art component of the sale features some of Australia’s most famous artists from the estate of the late John Bennison, ex Chief Executive of Wesfarmers. He was responsible for the commencement of the now renowned Wesfarmers Art Collection, together with the now late Melbourne art dealer, Dr Joseph Brown.

The main three artworks are a small oil depicting the South Wharf in Melbourne by the famous Heidelberg artist, Frederick McCubbin. The other two are by the renowned modernist, Arthur Boyd. One is quite a large artwork from his Wimmera series, and the other depicting the Shoalhaven River. His retirement property adjoined the river and he subsequently bequeathed this property to the Federal Government.

These artworks are starting from $60,000, $70,000 and $12,000 respectively. This is incredible value for art of this calibre, and an undeniably fabulous Christmas gift or investment. Also for auction is fine furniture, watches including famous brands such as Rolex, Cartier and Omega.

Jewellery is a major component of this auction. It is largely consigned from local families. The offering includes diamonds from one to eight carats, and includes 150 antique and modern items including famous makers such as Bvlgari and Cartier, as well as local makers such as Linneys, Kailis and Rosendorf.

Diamonds are certainly a girl’s best friend at this auction, with rings featuring individual diamonds up to eight carats, down to less than one carat, with all sizes in between. Interested purchasers should be sure to check the catalogue or attend a viewing so as not to miss out on these amazing deals.

Each item submitted to McKenzies for sale is carefully selected for quality and value. Many items on offer come with the seller’s independent insurance valuation, providing a detailed description and a full retail replacement price.

Pre-auction viewing will be held on:
Saturday 9 December 11am to 4pm
Sunday 10 December 11am to 4pm
Monday 11 December 11am to 5.30pm
