The Gate test gives year 5 students an opportunity to shine if they are gifted or talented and gain admittance to a selective school. A large part of the Gate test involves communicating ideas through writing, and in the past, most exams have featured a creative writing story component.

Gate assessors look for stories that stand out, and as a response, Intuition Educational Support offers the Gate Advanced Story Writing Workshop led by Michael Buckingham Gray, a published writer.

Over three days, students will not only recap on how to write a traditional story but also be taught how to write:

- Contemporary stories
- Hint or flash fiction
- Genre fiction

In addition, students will also be reminded of the importance of details such as dialogue, how to create vivid imagery etc and be tested in each workshop with a 30–35 minute writing exercise to gauge their progress.

Make your child stand out today, and book a place in Intuition Educational Support's GATE Advanced Story Writing Workshop.
