Harvest Rain Theatre Company is delighted to announce Australian Singing Sensation, Dami Im, will star in the Brisbane season of Grease the Arena Experience.
After wowing audiences in Eurovision and in a gender-bending first, Dami Im will take on the role of Teen Angel, putting an all-new spin on the iconic song "Beauty School Drop Out". She will be joined on stage by some of Australia's best entertainers, including Meghan O'Shea as Sandy, Drew Weston as Danny, Tim Campbell as Johnny Casino, Barry Conrad as Kenickie and introducing Brisbane’s Number 1 Radio Announcer, 97.3FM's Terry Hansen as Vince Fontaine.
After taking the nation by storm with her critically acclaimed performance as Tracy Turnblad in the national tour of Hairspray - The Big Fat Arena Spectacular, Lauren McKenna will swap the can of hairspray for a Pink Ladies jacket when she takes on the role of Jan in Grease – The Arena Experience!
Once competing against each other in the fifth season of X-Factor, Barry Conrad and Dami Im will now be reunited on stage when Barry takes on the role of Kenickie, singing the iconic “Greased Lightnin’”
The show will also feature a mass ensemble of over 800 young performers from across Brisbane who will come together to take part in this spectacular arena production.
Featuring hit songs like "You're the One That I Want", "Greased Lightnin'", "Summer Nights", “Beauty School Drop Out” and "Born to Hand Jive", this is a unique arena spectacular that you cannot afford to miss.
Grease is the timelessly funny story of 1950s teen love, cliques, and peer pressure. Join your favourite Rydell High students, Danny and Sandy, The T-Birds and the Pink Ladies along with a cast of hilarious characters as they jive and bop their way to Graduation. It's Grease like you've never seen it before! Take the whole family along for a night you'll never forget!
Produced by Harvest Rain, this production will follow in the footsteps of their previous arena productions of Cats and Hairspray, which both played to capacity audiences and rave reviews around the country.
