Award-Winning Soprano Greta Bradman will perform a special Mother’s Day concert in aid of the Cathedral’s Organ Restoration Appeal, with all proceeds going to support the Appeal.

The Mother’s Day concert promises to be a splendid afternoon of music, featuring favourites including Dvorak’s Songs my Mother Taught Me, Henry Bishop’s Home Sweet Home and Gounod’s Ave Maria - a special treat for any mum this Mother’s Day!

Greta will be accompanied in the concert by the Cathedral’s Principal Organist Dr Josh van Konkelenberg.

The nearly 90 year old Cathedral Organ will be dismantled in July and shipped to Durham (UK) to be restored by leading international organ builder Harrison & Harrison, who most recently have restored the King’s College Chapel Organ (Cambridge, UK).

The $2 million restoration is expected to be completed by late 2018 and ready to fill the nave with sound for the sesquicentenary of the Cathedral in 2019.
