A free afternoon of original acoustic music. We hope you join us.

Valerios Calocerinos, is a creative mind who once wrote, and continues to write, a Kytherian fiction called The Book Of Vilah and then decided to compose music to his fiction that then evolved into a unique Sydney-based band known as Ionia. Ionia are an original acoustic band whose music transcends classification. They blend genres with dark wave, neo folk, Gypsy, alternative, Folk Rock, classical, avant garde, and jazz.

Ionia come to the stage with their new singer and hope y'all come down to meet him!

One of our opening acts this night is Sister Ursuline. Sonic historian Sister Ursuline draws on historical anecdotes to create narrative songs: asylum-bound nuns, shape-shifting witches, and iron-willed aristocrats inhabit tales of madness, illness and obsession. In 2015 she toured North America as second chair cellist and vocalist of New York-based cello rock ensemble Rasputina, and collaborated alongside Brian Viglione of The Dresden Dolls and Violent Femmes on Luis Mojica's debut studio album 'Wholesome'. 2017 has seen her performing in Theatre Excentrique's production of Rodrigo Garcia's play 'I'd Rather Goya Robbed Me of My Sleep Than Some Other Son of a B*tch' at the Old 505 Theatre, and she performed as part of Keppie Coutts' swamp-folk cabaret 'The Mysteries of Mad River' in the Sydney Fringe Festival.

The other opening act is Richard Calabro. Richard is a master on the guitar with spellbinding sounds. He's a magnificant guitarist bringing authentic sounds of Cuba, Brazil, and the rest of Latin America to the stage. Be ready to journey the world.

Craft beer at the bar, order in pizzas at the bar from Bondi Pizza Broadway. Music lovin' kiddos are welcomed in the Malt Room and the Beer Garden.
