For the first time ever, national treasures and the reigning Queens of Australian Comedy - Joel Creasey and Rhys Nicholson are teaming up for a special one-off Mardi Gras show. Join Joel and Rhys as they force a bevy of celebrities and gay icons to battle each other live on stage in a series of outrageously naughty games. As Mardi Gras fans themselves, they've put this show together for one reason – something fun to do before all the clubs open. A little pre-party lubrication, if you will. Come along, grab a drink and get involved!

At just 26 years old, Joel Creasey is one of Australia’s most-popular, acclaimed and charmingly controversial stand-up comedians. A self-described shameless “fame wh*re”, Joel has become a television favourite – making regular appearances on The Project, The Great Debate, The Project, Comedy Up Late, Tractor Monkeys, 20 to 1, Have You Been Paying Attention, The Big Music Quiz, Studio Ten, The Circle, A League of Their Own, The Living Room, Gaycrashers, Dirty Laundry, How Not to Behave, It’s a Date, to name but a few. Not to mention his own stand up special on ABC2 and hosting the prestigious Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala.

In the world of stand-up, Joel has had sell out tours of Australia, the UK, Asia and the USA. With his first solo tour at the age of 19 earning him a Best Newcomer nomination at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival – Joel has gone on to present seven acclaimed, sell-out tours having recently finished a sold out season in New York.

Rhys Nicholson is the impeccable sartorialist with a smart mouth. In 2016 he was nominated for the prestigious Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s Barry Award that recognises the Most Outstanding Comedy Festival show. Rhys is a 2009 graduate of RAW Comedy and the 2012 Sydney Comedy Festival’s Best Newcomer. He is also a writer and a permanent fixture on the local comedy scene as a Sydney Comedy Store regular and headliner in clubs all over the country. His rapid-fire punch lines have become his comedy currency and he has supported the likes of Louis CK (US), Amy Schumer (US), Kathy Griffin (US), Fiona O’Loughlin and Wil Anderson. He’s performed overseas at four Edinburgh Fringe Festivals, Dublin’s Vodafone Comedy Festival and several seasons at London’s Soho Theatre to audience and critical praise. Closer to home he regularly sells out his comedy festival seasons in Brisbane, Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.

This is not the first time Nicholson and Creasey have collaborated. In 2014 they starred together in the celebrated ABC TV documentary GayCrashers. Rhys has also been seen on TVs Dirty Laundry Live, Seven’s Morning Show Style Squad, as well as live spots on Comedy Up Late, JFL Stand Up Series and Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala.
