Lee Kernaghan has kicked off his Boys From The Bush 25th Anniversary Tour in fine style with a swag of sold out shows in Tasmania, NSW and Victoria. In June Lee is bringing his new show to his home state of Queensland and already Bundaberg and Mackay have sold out and tickets are selling fast for his other June shows in Rockhampton and Townsville. The Queensland shows scheduled for September at Twin Towns and Toowoomba have also seen a rush on ticket sales with a second show announced today for Twin Towns Services Club on Sunday 10th September. With demand for tickets to Lee’s shows at an alltime high two additional Queensland shows in Caloundra and Maryborough have been added for October and have gone on sale today.

Lee has a deep affinity for the Sunshine State since moving to South East Queensland almost 20 years ago. “Playing to my home state crowds is always fantastic,” says Lee. “Queenslanders love their country music and I can promise everyone one hell of country music party on this 25th Anniversary Tour. The June dates in Queensland have already half sold out with Bundaberg and Mackay selling out 3 weeks before we hit town. The response has been incredible everywhere. It is going to be a special night when we return to the Great Western Hotel in Rockhampton. I once was the very proud owner of the iconic Great Western and I have fond memories from those days. They tell me the town is turning out in force on June 3rd and hotel management is predicting a sell out there as well.”

An avid supporter of all things Queensland, Lee recently returned from a whirlwind trip to the North to celebrate the re-signing of North Queensland Cowboys Johnathan Thurston at an event held at the Townsville Entertainment Centre, the same venue he’ll return to play on 10th June in a massive show that will feature special guests The Wolfe Brothers, James Blundell and Tania Kernaghan.

The tour has been one big party since it started in March. “I am having the time of my life out on the road with the 25th anniversary tour,” says Lee. “The shows are selling out, the crowds have been coming along to party and celebrate with us every night and I don’t think I have ever had more fun performing these songs.” The Boys From The Bush 25th Anniversary Tour features all of Lee’s classic hits, ballads and rural anthems that have won him a nationwide legion of fans that he prefers to call ‘mates’. With 35 number one hits to his credit, Lee has a deep well of material to draw from for this tour but he will also features songs from his latest release—The 25th Anniversary Album.

Lee will be joined by a stellar line-up of special guests throughout the tour [see venue dates for details] including the legendary James Blundell, multi award winning hit-maker Tania Kernaghan and Australia’s award-winning country rockers The Wolfe Brothers who will join Lee for the entire tour.
