Want to change your life?
Research has proven how beneficial long-term meditation practice is, not only re-writing our brain’s software but actually changing the physical structure of the brain’s connections (neuroplasticity) to make us think differently. This helps us combat stress, anxiety and depression, and see our lives more clearly, so why are so few people doing it?
Like any form of training, meditation takes time and regular practice in order to show results. Many meditation techniques are too complicated for beginners, like someone trying to start a gym routine with too much weight on the bar. We simply fail to start at the beginning, with basic techniques that let us quickly gain skill and proficiency and see progress to encourage our repeated commitment.
Join yoga and meditation teacher Scott Rennie for a few hours of playful experimentation with simple mindfulness meditation techniques that you’ll find easy to follow. We’ll talk a bit about why they work, and how to overcome common problems such as falling asleep and discomfort, but since the point is to develop a regular practice to help our lives, we’ll spend most of the time exploring sitting, walking and lying forms of meditation. We’ll look at how to put them all together to find an easy way in to regular practice, so that by the end of this workshop even complete beginners will be easily able to practice meditation for 30 minutes or more.
This small and personal course will be accessible to all, so email Scott now to book your place and start the change.
