The Gonzo Hour is 50 minutes (surprise!) of joyful madness presented by a Chaplinesque clown (Debbie Zukerman) and her boss, an agitated Oxford don (also Debbie Zukerman).

The Gonzo Hour is a yellow raincoat on stage with Debbie inside it. And you? You're in the audience and you laugh while she's funny! The next day you go to work and people say “how was the show?” and you start laughing and say “there was this woman in a raincoat and um well, she…um…” and then you giggle, remembering what happened. But you can’t explain it, so in the end you say “just go see it” and then you keep laughing on and off all day.

Here are some quotes:

"That made me so happy!" - Paul (Debbie's friend)
"I’ll get you a beer." - Paul
"Thanks but I don’t like beer." - Debbie

Debbie Zukerman is a Sydney based comedian, clown and improviser. She is a member of clown company Choo Choo Troupe, and improv troupe Post-Its. She performs regularly with both and has performed at the Adelaide, Perth and Sydney Fringes. She was once a quite serious actor, and co-founded the Melbourne indie feminist theatre company The Honeytrap. She now lives in a third floor apartment with a pet dinosaur, Gregory.

Debbie studied performance with clown master Philippe Gaulier (Paris), Meisner at the Ward Studio (NYC), improvisation at ITs (Sydney) and clown at Brooklyn Movement Studio (NYC).
