Armed with the warmth of her cello, vocals that cut to the bone and lyrics that dance between darkness and light, Monique Clare delivers unfeigned modern folk. With a reputation for bringing her listeners to tears, her live shows also weave in the genres and folk tunes that influence her original songs, with anything from Swedish polskas to solo Bach. She is the Folk Alliance Australia's Young Artist of the Year, and is currently touring her new EP of songs for cello and voice, "By The Stars".

“Monique brings courage and a zeal for life together in her music—she’s a joy to hear.” - Punch Brothers bassist, Paul Kowert

“Monique takes her years of music training and her brilliantly quick and creative mind and delivers a performance that is stunning to fans of any music genre. Her songs are intimate and soaring—both sonically and lyrically, and her stage presence is pure joy.” - Matt Smith, Folk Alliance International president
