In between dropping diss tracks about flat earth theories and tweeting about the disastrous science and arts policies of the Trump administration, world renowned astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson is finding time to visit Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane and Sydney in July 2017 in Neil deGrasse Tyson: A Cosmic Perspective.

Having left audiences hungry for more after his 2015 tour, An evening with Dr Neil deGrasse Tyson, Tyson is back in Oz to discuss the implications of A.I., the potential for another Space Race and the ethical implications of encountering alien life forms. He will also be considering the role of scientific illiteracy and dogma of all stripes in the era of ‘alternative facts’.

Doors open at 6:00pm; the event starts at 7:00pm. This event will consist of a 40-minute conversation with a local host followed by an audience Q&A. The event ends at 8:30pm.

The Meet and Greet will take place after the main event within the same venue. Meet and Greet ticket holders will be asked to remain in their seats after the event to be directed to the Meet and Greet area. The Meet and Greet ends at 9:50pm.

Before purchasing, please review your ticket choice as all student tickets require a student ID. There will be merchandise sold at the event, including t-shirts and posters. If you have any questions about the event run time, or the event in general, please contact
