For two shows only, the Australian Philharmonic Orchestra will proudly present their much-loved annual New Year’s Eve Concert. Now in its 36th year, the celebrated 65-piece orchestra affectionately known as Aussie Pops, will perform songs from popular musicals both past and present, to herald in the new year.

Joining the Orchestra on stage will be three of Australia’s best musical theatre voices, Silvie Paladino, Simon Gleeson and Kane Alexander. The performance will be led under the baton of acclaimed Vienna-based Australian conductor Warwick Stengards, and guests will also be entertained by the master of ceremonies Denis Walter in song throughout the evening.

The concerts will include a unique blend of classical and contemporary music from shows such as The Phantom of the Opera, Show Boat, Carousel, The Secret Garden, The Gypsy Princess, Les Misérables, Singin’ in the Rain, and many more!

A long-held tradition in Melbourne, the New Year’s Eve Concert sees many people return year-after-year to celebrate and embrace time-honoured, musical magic with the Australian Philharmonic Orchestra and some of the nation’s most loved performers.
