Featured in The Age newspaper as one of Melbourne's top "Weird and Wonderful" new year celebrations, this event offers a natural high through singing, chanting, dancing, sound healing, meditation, socialising, sharing supper snacks, and free chai. The chanting has a bit of a 60s music influence, along with other global flavours. New Year's Eve Chanting Meditation is led by guitarist/composer Jarek Czechowicz accompanied by graduates of the Australian College of the Arts, Costa Hagi (bass) and Hanes Lackmann (percussion). The evening will open with gifted singer and choir leader Diana Clark-de Vries. This celebration attracts an audience of early 20s upwards, who are looking for more of a spiritual new year, or at least some peace, love and music.
