Noosa Boathouse and Dal Zotto Wines present “The Prosecco Bar”.

The Noosa Woods will come to life this May as the 2017 Noosa Food and Wine Festival kicks into play, with a standout Prosecco Bar created by Noosa Boathouse and Dal Zotto Wines to mark the occasion.

Located in the heart of the Wine and Produce Village at the Woods end of Hastings St, the vineyard themed Prosecco Bar will be open.

Bringing the Cellar Door to life to create a relaxed atmosphere with a Vineyard meets Noosa vibe, this bar will offer Dal Zotto Prosecco and a great range of their other renowned varietals including Prosecco cocktails and Cicchetti dishes created by Noosa Boathouse.

Chief winemaker and CEO Michael Dal Zotto said it has been a huge couple of years for the team with the highly popular Prosecco taking the world by storm.

“We’re proud to be the first to plant prosecco varieties in Australia, beginning with cuttings from my father Otto’s home town of Valdobbiadene, the home of Prosecco. We have more than five types of Prosecco and the Italian variety is a deliciously savoury and nutty example that remains marginally drier than its European counterparts.”

Noosa Boathouse chef Shane Bailey has created 3 “Cicchetti” style menu items (the Italian version of tapas) which includes an Italian style pulled beef brisket slider cooked on site in front of festival goers in a wood chip smoker, traditional antipasto and charcuterie boxes (cured and smoked meats) and BBQ Queensland sweetcorn on the cob with Italian herb, chilli and lime butter.

The wine and produce village will give festival goers the opportunity to meet over 50 winemakers and producers including the Dal Zotto brothers, enjoy live music, DJs, cooking demonstrations and delicious food right on the Noosa River.

Phil Bradford from Noosa Boathouse said, “Our bar will be one of the main features at the Woods offering great food and wine options. The atmosphere and live music will be amazing, so this really is an event not to be missed.” He encourages people to bring their family and friends down over the 3 days to enjoy the great food, wine and entertainment on the river.

Tickets for The Woods can be purchased online or at the door and includes first wine and Plumm wine glass to keep. Kids 12 & under are free.
