The Film
Join us on board the my Steve Irwin for a journey to one of Australia’s best kept secrets, the Great Australian Bight. An expedition to showcase the beauty, grandness, wonder and fragility of the Bight and highlight what is at stake – a wilderness of global significance.

As part of an alliance, Sea Shepherd’s flagship vessel, the Steve Irwin departed Melbourne, Victoria in early August 2016 with the goal of showcasing Australia’s natural wonders that could be devastated by another BP type spill, if oil drilling were allowed to go ahead in the Bight.

Be prepared to be captivated and spellbound by nature, the grandest and greatest show on earth, while being welcomed by Mirning elder and whale song man, Bunna Lawrie, whose ancestry dates back tens of thousands of years as the whale people of the Nullarbor.

This is one not to be missed, a visual feast awaits and our hope is that that audiences will fall in love with the Bight and hopefully a resolve to defend this great natural wonder.
