Broadway Sydney is asking customers to put their money where their heart is this festive season to help those less fortunate. By partnering with not-for-profit retailer Oxfam, the Centre hopes to encourage the community to become the ‘makers of goodwill’ and donate towards one of three handmade gifts for family and friends this Christmas.

Customers will be able to purchase handmade gifts up until 24th December with all proceeds going towards local communities from poor communities around the globe. Donations from $10.00 can make a huge impact on global communities around the world, providing them with live animals, seeds and vegetables, water tanks and more in countries such as Zimbabwe, Bangladesh, Vietnam and Vanuatu.

The Oxfam Gift Hub has something for everyone with handmade treasures that appeal to kids, friends and colleagues, whilst helping those in need including:

- Sock Monkey
Handmade in South Africa by local artisan group, Woza Moya, a non-governmental organisation providing care and support for people living with HIV in the Ufafa Valley and providing income solutions to women from vulnerable households who have been identified as needing urgent income.
- Recycled materials scarf with pom poms
Each scarf has been hand stitched or traditionally block printed by artisans for the Sasha group in India. Sasha is a Fair-Trade Organisation that works with 70 producer groups from all over India, providing work to 2200 artisans and benefitting up to 3000 people, helping to tackle poverty.
- Belgian Chocolate Hearts
Single origin Belgian chocolates, certified organic, gluten free and Fair-trade. Made with cocoa farmed in the Dominican Republic with no child slavery and sub-standard working conditions for farmers. These chocolates are limited edition, produced by Lindsay and Edmunds made especially for Oxfam and Broadway Sydney.
