It’s game on!

Pax Aus, Australia’s largest gaming festival, teases the main show with a pop-up at Federation Square. Fancy trying out the latest version of Just Dance or the new Mario Brothers game? How about a quick round of giant Jenga with friends? Keen to discover the best games from local independent developers, or try out VR gaming?

Melbourne gamers of all persuasions are in for a massive treat on Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd September, as Pax Australia set up a pop up event in Federation Square in anticipation of the festival’s fifth year in Melbourne.

Game lovers won’t know where to start at Pax Aus. There will be high-score tournaments on the big screen, giant Jenga and Connect Four battles, tabletop board games and a Friday night concert from local Melbourne bands. With gaming areas, multiple prizes up for grabs including Pax Aus 3-Day badges and cosplay photo-ops, there’s no better place for Melbourne gamers to spend their weekend!

“Before the Pax mothership descends upon Melbourne this October, we’re very excited to offer a snack-sized Pax at Fed Square on 1–2 September,” said Luke Lancaster, Pax Content Manager.

“Come hang out, play some games and see what Pax is about, apart from very mixed metaphors.”

Pax Australia fans who are yet to purchase their tickets should stop by Federation Square and be the first to receive the physical badges before their mail-out day later in September.

Pax Aus single day and three-day badges are available for purchase through the Pax Aus website.
