Fairly Lucid Productions are heading over to Edinburgh Fringe Festival for the first time and they are inviting an audience in to their second last rehearsal before they head overseas.

Raton Laveur - a one act psycho drama slash black comedy slash love story by Fairly Lucid Productions - will make its exciting debut at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this August.

Described as “irresistible”, “a comedic goldmine” and “riotously funny”, Raton Laveur, which translates to ‘raccoon’ in French, is often simultaneously funny, gruesome and thought provoking. A comedy with dark circles under its eyes.

Set in Toronto, it tells the tale of recently relocated Australian lovers, Phil and Lily. When Phil becomes obsessed with a nest of raccoons living behind the crêperie where he works, things take a violent turn.

A thrilling tale about a man grappling with his decreasing grip on reality, an ill-fated love story, a darkly humorous observation of the human psyche – Raton Laveur is many things.

In their Edinburgh debut, performers Wendy Bos (Neighbours, Hawke, McLeods Daughters, and award winning artist with Floogle Theatre Company) and Ben Noble (Underbelly: Fat Tony & Co, BJ Fletcher Private Eye, Wind In The Willows & Phaedra’s Love) bring this comedy about love, relationships, and knives that cut through bone to life.

Raton Laveur has an exciting up and coming creative team driving the production. Green Room Award Nominated Director Alice Bishop (Catalpa, Roberto Zucco) is joined by set designer Jacob Battista (Bad Jews, VTG, The Lonely Wolf – MTC Neon, Therese Raquin – Dirty Pretty Theatre) with Georgia Rann (Anna Karenina, Helen of Troy) providing lighting design.
Fairly Lucid Productions is an Australian independent theatre company with giant ideas. They aim to increasingly push boundaries with their performances, presenting work that is courageous, compassionate and embraces humility.
