After making their premiere at this year’s Manly Jazz Festival, this exciting ensemble made up of the rhythm section of Sirens Big Band and Sandy Evans (SandyEvans Trio, the catholics, 10 Part Invention) is looking forward to presenting a night of music with internationally renowned tabla player, Bobby Singh (Circle of Rhythm, Jeff Lang, The Bird) . The band will be presenting new compositions by Evans’ exploring intersections between jazz and Indian music, as well as music composed by the various band members. Expect strong grooves, exciting improvisational exchanges and moments of meditative calm.
