Santa and his entourage have departed the North Pole and are on their merry way to Bankstown Central for a wonderful day of fantastic activities.

Starting at 8:30am is the first of two free Santa’s Breakfast celebrations for 80 children near Footlocker plus a second Breakfast at 10am for another 80 children. Bookings for both breakfasts are essential and parents must register their child/children in person at the Customer Service Desk on Level 2. Visit Bankstown Central for details and conditions.

During both Santa breakfasts, the children will be entertained by a delightful ballet full of magical characters called Clara’s Tale of the Nutcracker based on the classic Nutcracker Suite. A hands-on Baby Animal Farm situated near Woolworths featuring a band of cute little creatures and reindeer will be open from 10am to 5pm.

From 11:30am to 12:30pm, Santa and Mrs Claus and their colourful band of characters will parade through the Centre for a meet and greet. Santa will then take pride of place in Centre Court for photos from 1pm onwards and be available for photos right up until Christmas Eve. The poplar Nativity scene is situated next to Santa.

Roaming the Centre from 11am to 2pm will be Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer character and his cuddly Buddy Bear saying hello and posing for selfies. Joining them from 1pm to 4 pm will be the jolly characters Horse, Rabbit and Penguin.

Then from 1–4pm, it’s time for the kids to get into the spirit of the Season with Gingerbread Decorating Workshops (Grand Market, Level 1).

Adding to the fun will be the McGrath Foundation face-painters, decorating faces from 9am–2pm near Target (Level 2), from 11am–2pm outside BIG W (Level 2) and from midday to 4pm in the Grand Market (Level 1). In the true spirit of Christmas, all gold coin face-painting donations will go to the McGrath Foundation and Linking Hearts (Multicultural Family Support Service).

And finally, from midday to 4pm those clever balloon benders will be creating amazing animal shapes in the Food Court (near Santa’s Set, Level 1).
