The dancers of Glamour Puss Studios Tap Dancing Academy have worked their way up through the venues of Melbourne to perform this year in Australia’s largest theatre, the newly renovated Palais Theatre.

Miss Jane, Head Mistress to the stars at Glamour Puss Studios, has hosted the show for 20 years.
She said ‘Show Queens’ tells the story of our 20-year history through tap dancing, projections, chit chat and general showing off.

“’Show Queens’ is camp and quirky and will feature hundreds of dancers, thousands of costumes, and millions of sequins!”

The show runs the gamut of people’s idea of tap, giving equal time to tap dancing standards like “Mr Bojangles”, “Puttin’ on the Ritz” and “Singin’ in the Rain”, to more unexpected tracks from Elvis Presley and Dolly Parton to Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars, and Pharrell Williams.

“Of course, we are show queens,” said Miss Jane, “so you can expect production numbers from Thoroughly Modern Millie, The Sound of Music, and Gypsy. We really do have something for everyone!”
