SixtyMinuteSingers was formed in August 2017 to reproduce the success of those crazy Canadians from Choir Choir Choir and the Brisbane and Newcastle choirs doing something similar. Best of all, you don't need to be able to read music to be part of this.

It's an opportunity for anyone who *thinks* they can sing (shower singing acceptable), to get together for 1 hour once a month in a relaxed pub environment with other singers, their partners, whoever, to rehearse one song as a group with a live backing band and then (hopefully) record a final run-through on video and publish on You Tube for the participants to see themselves. Everyone over the age of 18 is welcome!

We're aiming to start with around 50-60 then based on what we have seen elsewhere, this thing could grow to 100s...come and enjoy the experience of singing en-masse.

We're based on Sydneys lower North Shore, at the Crows Nest hotel, cnr Willoughby Road and Falcon Streets.

You will get a lyric sheet on the night and during the hour we will teach you your 'part', which more often than not is the melody anyway, of a well known pop/rock song. There is a $10 participation charge per person to that we can cover copyright and licensing costs, but the bar is open right throughout the night.

Think of it as a choir without all the formality.
