The Empire Bay Progress Association has been working to coordinate the annual Village Fair, which will raise funds for local community groups.

There will be a crowd-pleasing performance from the Central Coast Strings Orchestra at 10 am and the organisers encourage the community to support the performances of the local school, which will follow the performance of Central Coast Strings, with Empire Bay Public School Dance Group, Recorder Group and the Senior Choir and School Band all ready to wow with their talents!

“This is an amazing opportunity to support the array of local produce, services, artists and small businesses working within our community,” said President of the Empire Bay Progress Association, Carolen Barripp.

All of the favourites including the popular D’lites Deli display will be there, along with homemade cakes and jams raising funds for Bluewave Living Auxiliary, a local not-for-profit offering residential aged care services. The fresh local oysters that Empire Bay is known for will be available for Central Coast seafood lovers. There will be a BBQ running all day courtesy of the local fishing club and cappuccinos and lattes will be provided by local Barista John Martin, with delectable cakes on offer and for those with a love of local, Empire Bay honey is a must buy!

Children's activities include face painting, a balloon artist will delight the little ones and as a special treat a sno cone and popcorn will bring a smile to every little face!

Returning attractions which the fair is becoming famous include: Warwick's pianola—which will provide musical entertainment all day and the Empire Bay/Bensville RFS will be in attendance with their fire truck, while the “famous” plant stall will again, have plenty to keep local green thumbs happy!

“We are delighted that the members of our community will be coming together to embrace all the things that make Empire Bay so delightful,” added Carolen.

So mark 9:30am, 21st of October on your calendar and head to Empire Bay Hall, the corner of Gordon and Sorrento Roads, Empire Bay and enjoy the village spring spirit.
