If you want to get away from it all—but only have a couple of hours to spare—head to the Spring Picnic at the beautiful Spring Mountain Acreage Estate, in Greenbank. While kids of all sizes can explore the brand new adventure playground, with its timber fort, flying fox and slides, the big kids can kick back and soak up the sunshine and music under the gumtrees.

Master of Ceremonies Dene Harris will bring his own brand of smooth moves to an afternoon of live music and fun for the whole family. The entertainment is free, including face painting and giant games of jenga, twister and connect four, so get there early to claim a giant beanbag or bring your own picnic comforts.

And when it’s time for a treat, there will be free barbecue snacks, icecreams and snow cones, thanks to Spring Mountain developers Peet and MTAA Super. The picturesque Spring Mountain Acreage Estate is less than an hour from central Brisbane but it feels like a world away. Just head south on Mt Lindsay Highway and follow the signs from Pub Lane and Spring Mountain Drive.

For more information, visit Spring Mountain Estate link.

Bring a picnic, rugs, cushions or chairs.

The event is taking place at the Lagoon Park.
