Stars have been an enduring symbol of Christmas. Our Christmas event focuses on stars as symbols and decorations. It also features the 'stars' of some of our favourite Christmas stories and traditions, including: Santa Claus, King Wenceslas, angels and even Rudolph.

Visitors enter the wonderful heritage building where they can wander through a dozen rooms, each featuring a 'star', and each richly decorated with traditional Christmas embellishments. The museum's 'Blossoms and Lace' shop offers unique hand-made Christmas gifts and home baked treats.

The nostalgic tea room is a place to relax and enjoy a cuppa and treat. Visitors are also invited to remember and honour the 'stars' of their own past Christmases and to make a star ornament to take home. Evening openings for groups of 10 or more by appointment.
