TAL SpotChecker to pop up in Surfers Paradise: Free skin checks for skin cancer this summer.

Embrace sun safety this summer with free skin checks from specialist skin cancer doctors. Australia’s leading life insurance specialist, TAL, is calling on Australians to embrace sun safety and commit to getting a skin check from a qualified professional this summer.

To help more Australians enjoy the summer months with confidence, TAL has launched ‘TAL SpotChecker’, a series of pop-up clinics that provide free skin checks from specialist skin cancer doctors at some of Australia’s most iconic locations, including Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast.

Two in three Australians will be diagnosed with some form of skin cancer before they’re 702, so it is critical that people get themselves checked regularly. It’s with that in mind that leading life insurer, TAL has launched TAL SpotChecker.

97% of Queenslanders understand the importance of sun safety, but 60% have not had a skin check in the last year, and 26% have never had a professional skin check1, new research has shown.

TAL is always looking for new ways to protect this Australian life, and helping Australians understand sun safety to embrace the summer with confidence is one of them.

Two in three Australians will be diagnosed with some form of skin cancer before they’re 702, so it is critical that people get themselves checked regularly. Research from the Cancer Council shows that early detection of skin cancer can increase chances of successful treatment.

Through TAL SpotChecker, TAL is aiming to provide skin checks to over 27,000 Australians this year.
Visit the website to find out more about how to start the summer with confidence, or reserve a place at one of the TAL SpotChecker pop-ups. Limited places will also be available for walk-ins over the weekend.
