North Shore residents will once again get a taste of some of the best wine and produce from the Orange region on Sunday November 5 at Food + Wine by the River. The family-friendly festival, a signature event of Lane Cove Council’s annual Festival by the River, takes place at Tambourine Bay Reserve, Riverview, from 11am to 5pm.

Now in its third year, Food + Wine by the River is a partnership between Lane Cove Council and Orange Region Tourism and aims to bring a slice of regional Australia to life for North Shore residents. The event is proudly sponsored by Orange City Council and showcases the Orange region as a premium wine, food and tourism destination. Just a scenic 3.5-hour drive from Sydney, the Central NSW region boasts award-winning cool climate vineyards, cellar doors, cafés, restaurants, farm gates and wine bars.

See Saw Wine, Ross Hill, De Salis and Philip Shaw are among the 12 wineries showcasing their vintages, while food stalls from the region include Franklin Road Kitchen and Greentrees Gourmet Preserves. Guests will also enjoy entertainment whilst relaxing with the best of the regions food and wine. The Brand Orange team will also be present to provide tourism information.

Franklin Road Kitchen has been part of the past two festivals and will be serving beef and brinjal burgers using their home grown beef, tomato sauce and cucumbers, and chicken skewers marinated in aubergine sauce.

Food + Wine by the River is child and pet-friendly. Free shuttle buses will run from the Lane Cove Library to the event.
