Ted Egan, a self-confessed “old bushy” entertainer is coming to Melbourne to help raise funds for Chances programs for disadvantaged youth, and aboriginal students in the Kimberley. Our ANZACs had few chances at life, but Ted and ForChildren want to ensure today’s youth have more.

Ted has written a wonderful book including diaries, private letters, photographs, songs, anecdotes and quotes from many of the original ANZACs. He will be performing many of the songs and telling the anecdotes at the concert. Tickets include afternoon tea.

Ted is legendary around Australia as a talented folk musician, composer and performer; as well as being a former Administrator of the Northern Territory. He is the ideal person to explain through stories and songs to people today what it was truly like being an ANZAC all those years ago. As we remember the ANZACs we can be entertained by one of Australia’s “Living Treasures”, in Ted Egan.
