To help rediscover and celebrate handwriting, Officeworks Aspley will be hosting a series of creative workshops developed by positive psychologist Dr. Suzy Green that are based around gratitude journaling, goal setting, letter writing and creative writing in store.

The fun-filled day aims to inspire Australians to put pen to paper to rediscover the lost art of handwriting following an Australian academic study with Deakin University which revealed that there’s an easy way to relieve feelings of stress, fear and anxiety, and it’s something you’ve been doing your whole life—writing by hand. In fact, just 15-20 minutes of handwriting each day can result in a greater sense of life satisfaction and well-being.

There will be opportunities throughout the workshop for friends and families to try their hand at writing—from gratitude journaling, goal setting, to letter writing and creative stories, with tips and tricks on how to incorporate this into daily life revealed on the day. The workshops will run each weekend in September in 19 selected Officeworks stores with a range of schools across Australia participating.

Goal Setting: 2nd September to 3rd September
Letter Writing: 9th September to 10th September
Gratitude Journaling: 16th September to 17th September
Creative Writing: 23rd September to 24th September

You’ll get to take home a pen and notebook on the day too! To learn more about Time to Write and how you can get involved, head to officeworks.com.au/timetowrite or share your handwritten pieces on social media via #timetowrite.
