Transmit: Loud and Clear, showcases Indigenous youth from the Shoalhaven through film, music, contemporary dance, rap and poetry.

Transmit will showcase the work of 18 young Indigenous performers from the Shoalhaven at the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre on Friday 1 December. Now in its fifth year, the Transmit program brings local youth together with high calibre artists and performers such as Candy Royalle, Bjorn Stewart, Eric Avery and Caleena Sansbury.

The group of young people and students from Bomaderry High, Nowra High, Vincentia High and Ulladulla High have been encouraged to move out of their comfort zones by telling their stories with rap, poetry, contemporary dance and film making. The result is an empowering show offering an insight into the coming of age as a young Indigenous person in the Shoalhaven.

'Working closely with the individual artists has given the young people an insight into a unique creative process, based on the artist's own practice and experience of making work and performing. They have responded to creative tasks encouraging them to draw on conversations around culture, what is important to them right now and what it means to transition into adulthood.' Regina Heilmann - Bundanon Trust's Community Engagement Manager.
