With a long military history, we commemorate all Australians who served and died in war and on operational service. Join us for a special dawn service, followed by a free breakfast, themed activities for the kids, the Oliver Hill Guns and Tunnels tour and more.

Presided over by officers of the Royal Airforce Number Two Flying Training School (2FTS), RAAF PEARCE, this beautiful dawn service commences at 6am on the grassed area outside Dome Cafe and Thomsons Restaurant.

Following the service, a free breakfast will be prepared by the Rottnest Island Voluntary Guides Association in the Settlement Mall. In addition, the 'Southern Cross Bush Band' will be performing in the Settlement Mall between 8:30am and 10:30am.

If you are eager to learn more about Rottnest Island's military history, a free exhibition will be available in the Salt Store. "Call to Arms" documents everyday life in Rottnest Island's military sites. If you are eager to see these sites for yourself, the Oliver Hill Guns and Tunnels Tour will be operating throughout the morning.

We have a range of activities available to entertain and educate the little ones, including:
- Military themed kids activities
- Activity booklets (collect from the Visitor's Centre)
- ANZAC biscuit decorating
- Cricket
- Sand art
- Send postcards to serving solders
- And more to be announced.
