If you're a practising or aspiring creative entrepreneur in the South West, you won't want to miss the all-day Art & Tech Fest.

The Art & Tech Fest event is being held to launch Global Entrepreneur Week, run by Operation Next Gen Collie—a group of emerging entrepreneurs and leaders in the Collie community. There’s a full program of activities planned covering visual arts, filmmaking and music disciplines, finishing up with a free community concert and video art projection, all in the centre of Collie.

Budding filmmakers can head along to the Short Film Production Workshop with award-winning filmmaker Richard Todd of Aquarius Productions to learn how to take an idea to production of a short film. Bunbury-based Andrew Frazer will share practical steps and his real-life experiences in the Art & Business Workshop that will provoke, equip and inspire budding artists. Join an esteemed panel of film industry professionals, including Richard Todd and Dean Lomax of Lomax Media, as they explore emerging opportunities and answer all your burning questions at the Film Entrepreneurship Think Tank.

A diverse panel of music industry professionals including Vinni Crea from the WA , Dan White, Kate Hindle, Clive Hogson and Joe Powell, will discuss emerging opportunities at the Music Entrepreneurship Think Tank. Budding musicians can take the stage in a fun and supportive environment in the Open Mic Session, with experienced musicians on hand to give support and constructive feedback. Celebrate the day’s activities at the Art & Tech Fest Celebration, a free community event featuring an amazing video art performance with Frankensound lighting up Collie as you’ve never seen it before, and live music performances from Blue Child Collective and Collie's own Kate Hindle and supporting musicians. Food vans and refreshments available for purchase. BYO picnic rug/chair.

Bookings are essential for workshops and open mic sessions. To register, or to find out more, visit ongcollie.com, email ongcollie@gmail.com or phone Kerry on 0418 553 719.
