"Vocalist Rhea Caldwell comes off sounding a little like Kim Deal fronting Velvet Underground, her voice swirls in the mix with hints of streetwise attitude to hypnotic effect." - The Music

Sun-lovin’ Melbourne outfit Baby Blue have been producing ‘70s garage with a hint of doo-wop and blues for merely a year or so, and they’ve already earned their stripes as leaders among the local indie scene. Building on the steady momentum gained since the release of their debut EP 'In My Mind' last year, the time travelling four-piece are excited to present their anticipated sophomore EP 'Do What You Like' via Neat Lawn.

Led by the endearingly honest Rhea Caldwell, Baby Blue offers frank confessions and unabashed tales of intimate moments atop a distinct surf-garage-pop sound and is ultimately a marker for Rhea’s progress as both a songwriter and human. With the trials and triumphs she faces finding their place in songs that appeal from the first instant, there’s zero pretension at play, just a desire to connect with others and make sense of the world through music.

Singles ‘Fire And Ice’ and 'I Like You' each testify Baby Blue's broad stylistic scope, shifting seamlessly from pure psychedelia to surf garage and everything in between with captivating conviction.

Recorded and mixed by Paul Maybury and mastered by Adam Dempsey, Do What You Like is a sonic journey that takes Caldwell's unabashed songwriting style, along with the tight musicianship of her band and blasts it out of the stratosphere.

Establishing themselves as a live force to be reckoned with Baby Blue have played relentlessly around town in their short time together as a band, with a strong fan base continuing to build in tow. Having performed alongside an impressive list of both local and international outfits such as Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, Benjamin Booker, Husky, The Ocean Party, The Courtney's, Chastity Belt, Leah Senior and more, Baby Blue have become a powerful and compelling live act.
