Be blown away by the Boogie Woogie, Blues and R&R of multi-award-winning UK pianist Ben Waters and his special guest Derek Nash.

Nominated by Jools Holland as one of his top 10 pianists of all time, Ben Waters brings a unique brand of “flair & bravado” to his piano playing and vocals. Ben’s career has seen him playing/recording with legendary figures including The Rolling Stones, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Shakin’ Stevens, Jools Holland, Ray Davies, Leo Sayer, PJ Harvey and others. Ben was voted Europe’s #1 Boogie Woogie piano player in 2016.

Ben's most successful album to-date, “Boogie 4 Stu” is a tribute to family friend the late Ian Stewart, a founding member of The Rolling Stones and a major influence on Ben’s career. For this tribute, Rolling Stones past and present joined Ben, along with Jools Holland and many others in recognition of a great mate. Proceeds from album sales went to the National Heart Foundation.

Most recently, Ben has contributed to Sky TV’s “Music Legends we’ve lost in 2017”, recording a tribute to Antoine ‘Fats’ Domino. ‘Fats’ too has been a big influence on the Ben’s musical journey and no Ben Waters show is complete without some of Domino’s music.

Joining Ben will be the brilliant saxophonist Derek Nash, a member of the Jools Holland Orchestra since 2004. At the forefront of the British jazz movement, Derek has been described a “one of the most versatile saxophonists in the UK today” (The Guardian). He has led Sax Appeal for over 30 years, fronts the funk/fusion band “Protect the Beat” and “Acoustic Quartet” and is a member of the Ronnie Scott’s Blues Explosion. Like Ben one of the busiest musicians around, Derek has performed 100 times in the last year just with Jools Holland, including 2 recent sell-out shows with Jose Feliciano at London's Royal Albert Hall. He has appeared live & on TV with such greats as Eric Clapton, Amy Winehouse, Paul McCartney, Solomon Burke, Annie Lennox & Tom Jones.

Expect a high-octane performance. Waters' stage show has been described by the London Times as "like a bouncy castle for grown-ups.”
