With Adam Rudegeair (free in the Festival Hub bar).

Yorta Yorta man Benny Walker is a class act on the rise. In his love songs and epic tales he mixes summer vibes and deep grooves with his passion for the land and the people. This potent combination won him a Music Victoria “Best Aboriginal Talent” Award and his recent single Ghost and EP Undercover both debuted at no. 1 on the iTunes blues charts. He has already performed alongside many Australian icons - Archie Roach, Alex Lloyd and Tim Rogers to name a few. His latest songs, produced by Jan Skubiszewski, blend blues ‘n’ roots with contemporary guitar driven soul, and signal again Benny taking his music to the next level.

Adam Rudegeair is an eclectic explorer of the synthesis between funk, jazz and experimental styles, and a musician like no other. He will be performing free in the Festival Hub bar before and after the show.

“Walker’s voice has the drag and timbre of a natural soul man … his music is pure blues-rock, buoyed by clean, lyrical guitar solos and the throb of electric organ.” - The Guardian
