Circa is an outdoor theatre performance which will take you on a journey through the Botanic Garden's past.

Who is Circa? Her identity is unknown...It’s only by visiting places within the Garden to trigger her memories, that she’ll rediscover who she is. Based on a real-life, historical character and real events, you’re invited to join Circa on this journey and solve clues to uncover the mystery of her identity. Experience spring time with this site specific, interactive, promenade theatre performance in the beautiful surrounds of Adelaide Botanic Garden.

Don’t miss out, only 30 tickets per show. Proudly presented by the Botanic Gardens and State Herbarium of South Australia. Supported by City of Adelaide.

Please Note:
The running time is between 50 and 70 minutes, depending on how quickly Circa’s identity is revealed. This show is for an adult audience, however, it is also suitable for ages 13 and up.

This is an immersive show with an adventure/escape-room type feel. The majority of the show involves walking and standing. Those with limited mobility are encouraged to contact the venue to enquire about specific accommodation if needed. This show is accessible, however some of the pathways may not be sealed.

About the Production:
Performing for the first time in Australia, Circa is produced by Live History Production Company, a Canadian based theatre company that specialises in bringing your local history to life. The company was recently shortlisted for a Canadian Governor General's Award in History in 2017. Live History's 2017 tour covered 6 countries, including England, Scotland and America and this is the first time they have been to Australia. Live History is a theatre company like no other. Their shows take audiences on a one hour adventure through time which are specifically customised to be presented on site.
