“Fasten your seatbelts. It’s going to be a bumpy night.” - Margo Channing, All About Eve

Bette Davis stars as Margo Channing, the award-winning Broadway star who takes an aspiring actress Eve Harrington (Anne Baxter) under her wing as her assistant. Eve, for her part, seems star struck and over-awed to be working with her idol, winning everyone over with her charm.

But it’s all an act, and Eve will do anything to reach the top, backstabbing Margo any chance she can get. Margo’s increasing suspicion is dismissed by her friends as the bitter jealousy of an aging star, even when Eve manipulates events so that she shines on stage as Margo’s understudy to rave reviews.

One of the truly great films of classic Hollywood cinema, All About Eve is also notable for Marilyn Monroe’s small, but shining, pre-stardom appearance as an ambitious starlet at Margo’s cocktail party and Thelma Ritter as Birdie. The costumes, designed by Edith Head, are also stunning.

Free, everyone welcome. No bookings required.
