Day of Immunology Public Lecture: Immunotherapy to treat human diseases.

Why do we need an immune system? What happens when the immune system goes out of control? What can we do to stop it? How can we boost the immune system to fight off asthma, diabetes and cancer? Find out the answers at this free public lecture.

To celebrate International Day of Immunology 2018, please join us for an exciting evening of lectures from three of Melbourne’s top scientists:

Professor Robyn O'Hehir, Monash University: "Epidemic Thunderstorm Asthma: averting another strike with allergen immunotherapy"

Professor Tom Kay, St Vincent's Institute of Medical Research: "Treatment of juvenile diabetes without insulin injections"

Doctor Shahneen Sandhu, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre: "Immunotherapy: Shifting Paradigms of Cancer Treatment"

The evening will be chaired by Doctor Edward Hawkins from the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research and will be followed by a Q&A session and refreshments.
