Don't miss out on the next Baw Baw Business & Community Network Events with keynote speaker James Castrission (Cas), an Australian explorer and endurance athlete with a fascinating story; constantly pushing the boundaries of human endurance.

In 2011, alongside his best mate Jonesy the duo made history by completing the longest unsupported polar expedition of all time. In 100 years of polar exploration no-one had ever walked from the edge of Antarctica to the South Pole and back without assistance. Many had tried, none had succeeded. On Australia Day, after skiing an epic 2275km over 89 days Cas and Jonesy made history.

Four years later they also became the first people to ever kayak from Australia to New Zealand, paddling 3318km across the Tasman Sea in brutal conditions for another world first. This is the epic sequel! This is a presentation not to be missed! Cas will take you to the edge of your seat and share all the fear, the tears, the crevasses, the blizzards and many valuable lessons that we can all learn from.

Imagine facing white-capped ocean swells as tall as a four story building and struggling across blinding-white ice sheets as far as the eye can see. You'll learn the critical steps that ensured Cas not only survived, but achieved two Guinness World Record adventures.

Since then, Cas has led mountaineering expeditions to some of the most challenging peaks around the world, run numerous ultramarathons and sailed to remote destinations across the globe. He is now the Founder of a business delivering Australia’s Premier Corporate Adventure-based programs - MyAdventure Group.

Cas is highly regarded as one of Australia’s premier speakers and has shared his story with over 320,000 people in 23 countries. He has written two bestselling books—Crossing the Ditch & Extreme South—and we'll have copies to give away as prizes at this event.
