Dubarray and High Tropics

Dubarray
Uplifting, Soulful & Euphoric, Dubarray combine a fresh fusion of boundary bending world music that infuses such styles as trip-hop, funk, reggae, dancehall, drum & bass, house and tribal grooves layered on a bed electronic ambience and organic undertones.

Dubarray are a unique story of an Australian act who kicked off their journey in Europe 5 years ago, building solid foundations thanks to an abundant and busy live touring schedule. During that time the band have released three albums, 4 singles, returned to tour Europe four times, have hit the Australian road for four national tours and have been nominated for various Music Oz and Queensland Music awards. The band have appeared at many festivals through out Europe and Australia such as 'Splendour in the Grass', 'Woodford', 'Wanderlust', 'Island Vibes' & many more.

High Tropics - indie rock
With Josh Stewart (vocals/guitar), Chris Pickett (bass guitar), Pat Ferris (lead guitar), James Breust (guitar/keys), Christian Dunne (drums). Birthed by the fuzz-filled glory years that were the 2000s, High Tropics is the moniker of Queensland based Josh Stewart.

What was intended as a means to put out music outside of his duties of fronting indie rockers The Ninjas, Stewart’s DIY home recordings quickly caught the attention of esteemed US label Roll Call records, who put out the project’s first 2 singles in 2017.

Coming in hot off last year’s buzz, High Tropics’ are hitting the road in support of their forthcoming single “You Never Made it Easy”, which will see the 5 piece live band bring their blistering show to Lazybones lounge February 2nd.
