In July, Play Dead Theatre will bring a truly unique experience to Melbourne audiences; A Site Specific theatre production of David Eldridge’s award winning play Festen, held within the iconic Rippon Lea Estate Ballroom.
Directed by Jennifer Sarah Dean, Festen is a powerful story of a large and wealthy family dinner party where poisonous dysfunction slowly presses to the surface. Festen is a riveting fusion of gripping thriller and riotous humour of the darkest kind. Electrifying, shocking and profoundly moving…a thrilling modern tragedy.
