Celebrate Gandhi's legacy and Indian traditions with a day of food, music and culture. Bring your family and friend to visit Mahatma Gandhi: An Immigrant, the digital exhibition honouring the life of Gandhi.

As a special guest of the museum on this day, Ela Gandhi, renowned peace activist and grand-daughter of Mahatma Gandhi will be present. Born in South Africa in 1940, Ela has continued her grandfather's activist legacy. She was instrumental in the struggle against apartheid and was one of the members of the United Democratic Front who met with Nelson Mandala shortly before his release from prison.

Curator talks will take place throughout the day as well as traditional performances and the wonderful Babaji's Kitchen will be serving fresh dosas made on the spot, Masala Chaat and truckstop curries. Gluten free options available.
