The Arthur Robinson Quintet (tARQ) is made up of Piano, Bass and Drums with Reed instruments lead—Saxes, Flute, Clarinet and a variety of other middle eastern instruments on occasion and a singer. Playing every 1st Sunday of the month at Gargano since their inaugural gig in March, tARQ is getting quite a following and the band is well worth spending a Sunday afternoon with!

The style of music could be loosely termed Mainstream with particular emphasis on the 40s, 50s, 60s and all the big and smaller bands of those times. Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Dave Brubeck, Dizzy Gillespie, Gerry Mulligan, Miles Davis, The MJQ, Cannonball Adderly and many others from those times are all influences. tARQ also create music of our own which can be heard sometimes.

Arthur Robinson - saxes, clarinets, flute
Kerry Stafford - piano
Richard Pooley - drums
Wayne Slater - double bass
Kim Hogan - vocals
