Guau! is a new interactive physical comedy about the hilarious consequences of consumerism in an offbeat gender fluid idiot with a stupid inclination towards pop music. In his very first solo show, Xavier Sisquella introduces his adorable yet embarrassing alter ego. The relationship with objects and people of this enthusiastic naive fool is as immediate and intense (yet frivolous and empty) as a pop song. A passionate maladjusted twit with an idealistic outlook trying to fit in a world full of conventions.

Guau! references pop songs and pop culture that symbolise the constraining values of a society that contrast with the needs of a naive sentimental fool. Xavier quotes the french classic “Les Enfants du Paradis” to depict this amusing antagonism: “Imagine Jean-Louis Barrault being seduced by the lyrics of Katy Perry. This show is a stupid reflection on our consumerist society.”

A quirky and comedic reflection about a fool’s emotional challenges of living in the present Millennials’ society, created from the generous need of expressing, sharing and laughing about the universal sensation of feeling unfit.
