Guerrilla Kindness and Other Acts of Creative Resistance
Book Launch and Exhibition
By Sayraphim Lothian

Running as a part of the 2018 Craft Cubed Festival, Melbourne Arts and Craft lovers are invited to a weeklong exhibition celebrating the launch of well-known Craftivist Sayraphim Lothian's first book; Guerrilla Kindness and Other Acts of Creative Resistance: Making A Better World Through Craftivism.

A voice of resistance, Craftivism is a non-threatening form of activism that gives people an avenue to fight back when they feel stifled, and power where they feel powerless. It is an international movement for our time and noted Craftivism expert Sayraphim Lothian has now created the world's first tutorial book on this revolutionary style of activism.

Running from the 23rd to the 28th of August, the exhibition will include a large array of pieces from the book at well as three workshops available during the week:

Guerrilla Kindness
Saturday 25 August, 12:30pm–2:00pm

Paper Pieced Hexie Quilt: Your History in Hexies
Saturday 25 August, 3:00–4:30pm

Craftivist Cross Stitch
Sunday 26 August, 12:30pm–2:00pm

Launching on the evening of Thursday the 23rd of August at 6:30pm, all are invited to attend this milestone moment in the history of Art and Activism. Copies of the book will be available for sale throughout the exhibition. Free entry to exhibition.
