Over the years hundreds of people have passed through the Impro Melbourne training centre. It’s the longest established impro training facility in Melbourne and we teach the theatre-based style of improvisation developed by the renowned teacher and writer Keith Johnstone.

Impro Melbourne teachers are friendly, experienced and passionate about their work. They are internationally acclaimed improvisors skilled at creating a safe, supportive, respectful environment which is flexible and responsive to student needs.

Our courses are carefully designed to target and develop specific improvisational skills such as spontaneity, onstage collaboration and storytelling. Playful risk-taking is encouraged. Laughter and discovery follow. And as the process unfolds its easy to see why impro can be such a powerful tool in our day to day lives.
