There will be season closing celebrations on Monday April 30 at the Inglewood on Beaufort markets. Chair of Inglewood on Beaufort, Damien Giudici, said that while the markets would go into hibernation for a few months over winter they will be finishing with a bang, throwing a carnival party.
There will be face painting for the kids with two people from Nix Face Painting at the Inglewood Library forecourt from 6pm to 7:30pm and ukulele player Taryn Ryan entertaining the crowd at the library from 6:15pm.
At Wendy’s Jazz Bar on the corner of Seventh Avenue and Beaufort Street, from 6:30pm, the Gemma Farrell Trio will be playing some standards and original jazz music from Farrell’s new album Organised Chaos due for release in June. The band features Farrell on saxophone, Kate Pass on double bass and Ryan Daunt on drums.
At 6:30pm, belly dancer Jennah from Belly Dance Bombshells will be joining in the fun to entertain the crowd at Wendy’s before heading down to the library to entertain the crowd there. Then for an hour from 7pm, Coco Cabana Samba Dancers will roam from the jazz bar to Ninth Avenue and to the library.
April 30 will be the last chance for people to sample food styles from all over the world until Spring when the markets return on September 24.
