Captivating jazz singer Jackie Bornstein debuts at the Fyrefly (FKA the Hummingbird); St Kilda's newest lush venue located just down the stairs at Newmarket Hotel.

Known for her rich tones and ability to get to the heart of a tune, Jackie will bring the music of Billie Holiday to the Fyrefly stage. Holiday expressed a depth of emotion like no other, rejected traditional gender roles, took a stand for human solidarity and created a lasting musical legacy.

Paying homage to the great Lady Day, Jackie gives a powerful performance of her personal favourites from Holiday's iconic recordings. Featuring the classic Holiday signature songs "Body And Soul" and "Strange Fruit", Holiday's own compositions including "Don't Explain" and "Stormy Blues", plus tunes from Holiday's discography composed by Duke Ellington, George Gershwin, Cole Porter.

Also featuring the talents of:

Carl Mackey - saxophone
James Sherlock - guitar
Tamara Murphy - bass
Hugh Harvey - drums

Music from 7:30pm or dinner + show from 6:00pm.
