One of Melbourne's most captivating singers, Jackie Bornstein presents her brand new show to Kew Court House; "Jackie with Three Guitars". Having a passion for guitar and voice duos since childhood, Jackie is pleased to be sharing the stage with three of Melbourne's finest guitarists; James Sherlock, Stephen Magnusson and Nathan Slater.

Jackie will bring her rich tones to an infectious repertoire featuring a mixture of swing, bossa nova and poetry driven songs by influential composers from across the globe. The program will highlight Jackie's use of varied timbres and versality along with the distinctive sounds of each guitarists.

Jackie Bornstein (voice)
Jackie has become a regular fixture on the Melbourne Jazz scene performing at Melbourne's top venues and securing a recent sellout debut at the Melbourne International Jazz Festival. She has developed her own style utilizing varied vocal timbres and enjoys exploring a broad repertoire that sees her singing in French, Portuguese, Spanish and English.

James Sherlock (guitar)
James is one of Australia’s most exciting guitarists, a true craftsman of songs possessing beauty and depth. He has performed with the MSO, guitar virtuoso Martin Taylor, Katie Noonan, New York jazz vocalist Sheila Jordan, French jazz singer and rising star Cyrille Aimee, and a list of Australia’s finest.

Stephen Magnusson (guitar)
Stephen is one of Australia’s most in-demand and distinct musicians with incredible technique and an astoundingly beautiful tone. He was the Co-Winner of 2000 National Jazz Award, Bell award in 2013 and The Melbourne music prize 'Outstanding musician award' in 2013.

Nathan Slater (guitar)
Nathan is a virtuosic and origional guitar player who draws upon the traditions of jazz, flamenco, tango, and Brazilian music. He has performed/recorded with such artists as La Rumba, One night in Buenos Aires, Ross James Irwin, and Australian tango Champion dancers Fabio Roble and Ana Andre.
