With his guitar slung over his shoulders and a voice as refreshing as the oceans, South Africa’s modern folk export Jeremy Loops is so ready to amaze fans once again this May. Last on Australian shores in 2016, the raconteur will be touring Down Under with stops in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney as part of his ‘Critical As Water’ world tour.

‘Critical As Water’ is Jeremy’s second studio album and is due out in March. In support of the release, he will be winding up a mammoth 27-date world tour which includes shows in Europe and North America before heading down to Australia and New Zealand. A surefire part of the repertoire is the album’s carrier single ‘Waves’, which might make everyone go surfin’ after the concerts with its summery and tropical feels.

Jeremy said of the Aussie tour: “Getting to do Australia and New Zealand as part of this Critical As Water world tour shows just how important performing in this region is to us. And we know the love we give, Aussie and Kiwi crowds give will [sic] right back.”

Realising he wanted to pursue music as a career after college, Jeremy left the Finance industry and swerved into the path of music. He has, so far, released a self-titled EP, a studio album titled ‘Trading Change’, toured the world and performed alongside music giants. Apart from being a musician, Jeremy is also a green advocate, having founded the tree-planting organisation called Greenpop.
